Splatt Barn, Porlock (Somerset) is a luxury getaway with modern conveniences. Situated on the outskirts of the village of Porlock, Splatt Barn enjoys uninterrupted views across the marshes to Porlock Bay and is only an easy walk into Porlock. Sleeps 4, sorry no children under 11 years.

Porlock is a wonderful working Exmoor village and boasts three pubs, two grocery shops, a traditional local butcher, chemist, cash machine, hardware shop, visitor centre, several art galleries and a range of independent restaurants, shops and tea rooms. Porlock Weir is approximately 1.5 miles from Porlock and is well worth a visit. There are two restaurants, a pub and a range of individual shops such as tea rooms, Exmoor Glass, etc. Many of the shops in Porlock and Porlock Weir are open during traditional hours of 9 am to 5 pm, although hours are often extended during the summer season. Conversely, some shops also reduce their opening hours out of season. Minehead is the nearest town, approximately 6 miles from Porlock. Here you will find the larger supermarkets and petrol stations (Tesco and Morrison’s are both situated on the outskirts of the town and have longer opening hours), most major high street banks with cash machines, plus a range of other shops throughout the town.

Splatt Barn is fitted with dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, fridge, freezer, microwave, and Rangemaster oven with hob. Other equipment includes toaster, kettle, a variety of kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses. The TV in the sitting room has a box with all the free view channels. There is a TV and DVD player in the master bedroom and another TV in the other bedroom also. Wireless broadband is available in the property. Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. The central heating can be adjusted to suit your preferences and the seasons. Splatt Barn has a wood-burner in the sitting room; a basket of logs and kindling will be provided. Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips. A small amount of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits are provided to ensure you can have a hot drink as soon as you arrive. There may also be other non-perishable items like a salt, pepper and a few herbs or spices available. Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing powder and surface cleaner will be present in the property. Toilet rolls will be provided. One dog (maximum of 1 dog) welcome per booking, please do not allow your dog on the furniture or upstairs, thank you for your cooperation.
