Venture further afield and visit the tranquil waters of the world-renowned Lake Windermere, the largest lake in the country, where thrill seekers can tackle the waters with a session in stand-up paddle boarding or kayaking, or if that’s not your thing, board the lake cruise and explore the tourist towns of Bowness-on-Windermere and Ambleside.
